Stripe: card payments
Under Settings → Card payments (Stripe), tap Connect Stripe and follow Stripe's own steps. If you leave part-way, Finish on Stripe picks up where you left off. It shows Verifying while Stripe checks your details, then Ready.
- Customers pay on Stripe's page, which carries your shop's name, and the money goes straight to your Stripe account.
- Pipr never sees card details, holds no money and takes no cut of payments. Stripe's own fees apply.
- Membership payments go through the same account.
- Refunds are made in your Stripe account; Pipr shows them on the bill.
QuickBooks Online: your books
Under Settings → Payments, on the QuickBooks card, tap Connect QuickBooks and sign in on Intuit's page. Pipr never sees your QuickBooks password.
Once connected, Pipr sends on its own:
- every paid bill, with its payment;
- card refunds;
- membership payments, as sales receipts.
Unpaid bills, drafts, estimates and stock are not sent.
The first time you connect a company, Pipr sends nothing until you say so. The card says On hold: tap Review and start sending to see the paid bills waiting to go and how your customers match the ones already in QuickBooks, then Start sending. Back up your QuickBooks company before you start. Hold sending stops it again at any time; bills paid in the meantime go over when you start again.
What Pipr sent lists everything Pipr put in QuickBooks, with a link to each record, and on a computer you can download it as a spreadsheet. To undo, delete those invoices, payments and receipts in QuickBooks, newest first, and leave the customers and products, since some were already yours.
QuickBooks sometimes ends a connection (for example after long disuse). Nothing is lost: tap Reconnect QuickBooks and Pipr sends what's waiting.
Google reviews
Under Settings → Google reviews, find your shop on Google or paste your review link. After that, anyone can open a paid visit and tap More → Ask for a review to send the customer the link by text, or have Pipr email it under the shop's name (Email it).
Needs attention
If Stripe or QuickBooks refuses something and Pipr gives up retrying, it's listed under Settings → Needs attention (owner), and at the top of the notifications. Each item says what went wrong, with Try again once you've fixed it, or Dismiss.
Texting from your shop's number
Texting customers from your shop's own number is coming. You may see a Texting card in Settings; it isn't switched on yet. Until it is, payment links, estimates and tracking links are sent from your phone's own Messages or email.
